1. In a mortar, combine peeled garlic cloves with a pinch of salt. Crush the garlic using the pestle until it forms a paste. This releases the aroma of the garlic better.
2. In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and the crushed garlic.
3. Add olive oil and lemon juice to the mixture.
4. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
5. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
6. If desired, add herbs like parsley or dill for extra flavour.
7. Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
8. Serve with fresh vegetables, pita bread, or as a delicious topping for grilled meats.
