1. Drain and rinse the canned white beans under cold water.
2. Peel and finely mince the garlic clove. For a smoother texture, use a garlic press.
3. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon.
4. Use a food processor or blender to blend all the ingredients, including the olive oil, until smooth and creamy.
5. If the spread is too thick, add a little more olive oil until the desired consistency is reached.
6. Season the white bean spread with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Scoop the spread into a serving bowl, and garnish it with a drizzle of olive oil and some chilli flakes.
8. Serve the creamy white bean spread with pide bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
