Ingredients for Chocolate Drizzle
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a 22cm×22cm (9”×9”) baking tin by greasing and lining it.
2. Make the Chocolate Banana batter
In a saucepan, melt 100 grams of unsalted butter over low heat. Set it aside to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together two eggs and 100 grams of brown sugar until fluffy. Using a fork, mash two ripe bananas, then add them to the batter and mix until well combined.
Stir in the melted butter, then add 100 grams of plain flour along with 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
Fold in 100 grams of chopped chocolate, then spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking tin. Slice 1 ripe banana and spread the slices on top of the chocolate banana batter.
3. Bake
Bake the Chocolate Banana Bars in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
4. Make the Chocolate Drizzle
While the bars are baking, prepare the chocolate drizzle by melting chocolate and coconut oil until smooth.
Once the bars are cooled, drizzle the melted chocolate over the top.
5. Serve
Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your delightful Chocolate Banana Bars with a decadent chocolate drizzle!
