1. Soak raw cashews in water for at least 2 hours or overnight. This softens them for easier blending.
2. After soaking, rinse the cashews thoroughly under cold running water and allow them to drain.
3. In a blender or food processor, combine the soaked cashews with a bit of water. Start with a small amount of water and gradually add more until you achieve the desired consistency. Adjust the water quantity based on your intended use.
4. Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavour.
5. Blend until you get a smooth, creamy paste. This may take a few minutes.
6. Store the cashew paste in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later use, or incorporate it into your recipes.
