1. Make the batter
In a medium bowl, weigh the flour and whisk it with the baking powder and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs, add the butter, and stir until combined.
Add the flour mixture, the milk, and tomato paste; season with salt, pepper, and oregano; and mix well. Fold in the grated cheese and diced ham.
2. Bake
Heat the waffle iron, lightly grease it with a brush, and, after warming up, pour in the batter in portions using a ladle. The batter is not that liquid; you need to spread it properly to get a good result. Bake the waffles until golden brown.
3. Serve
Remove the finished waffles from the waffle iron and serve warm with the dip of your choice.
